Previous Press on Some of my Research

Prior to this blog, I have used some of the old standards of newspapers and television broadcasts to find people to interview and share some of my work. Here are two out of three examples.

The first is a newspaper column by Mrs. Ruth Sheehan in the Raleigh News and Observer: No Shelter for Latest Fallout

From earlier this year, Mr. Scott Mason of CBS Affiliate WRAL-TV5 on his program "Tar Heel Traveler" visited probably the most unique fallout shelter in North Carolina:
Underground House has Cold War Beginnings

Dr. Page's shelter is featured in my North Carolina Historical Review article, including being featured on the cover of the journal. At the top of this posting is the original color image of the shelter entrance.

Enjoy!
Frank
