The "Atomic H-bomb Formula," 7 December 1957
When conducting research in congressional papers you occasionally find items that make you laugh quite a bit. This is such an example, which was relegated to the "Nut File." There are far more offensive, racist letters in this folder, but this one I thought stood apart since according to the letterhead the author is a dentist. Perhaps he left the valve to the nitrous oxide tank open in his office a few too many times.

Lol! I love the 'nut files.' I've come across some of these at work. I especially enjoy the ones where the nuts have to explain their scientific theories and in this case accomplishments. It's records like these that sometimes give me that extra energy to get through another Hollinger.
